Getting Back To The Source -
A Meditative Modality
for Effecting Transformation

As you are already aware of, there are many levels of reality. The one that seems to prevail for a lot of people is the physical reality, the one we perceive with our physical senses. This is often the most important realm to those who identify themselves with their physical form and who rely on action and activity to affect their environment. Within this realm of physical phenomena there are innumerable levels as well, varying from those that embody the greatest degree of harmony, order, balance, and love to those that embody the least.

Then there is the mental level of reality which comprises the contents of our minds, individually and collectively. We all live in a sea of mind-stuff, and even though it is invisible to our senses it is nevertheless very real for it is the field out of which the physical realm is born. Every object you have ever perceived and used came into existence through this realm. There was a time when it did not exist; then an idea arose in someone’s mind who followed it through and eventually translated it into concrete reality. All conditions, experiences and behaviour also come about as a result of patterns of belief and thought. It is the yang of existence.

The third realm is the realm of emotion, companion to mind, the yin of existence. It represents the part of our nature that offers an energetic response to the workings of the mind. It is the energy that fuels the manifestation of belief patterns. When focused and intense, it becomes like rocket fuel, when weak and scattered, it is ineffectual. This also is an invisible layer of reality yet it is as crucial to the creative process as is the power of the heart beat and breath to sustain life.

The fourth level of reality is the realm of pure energy and light. It is the precursor to all other realms. It is the source of all undistorted primary creations. It is the source of all life, intelligence, harmony, wisdom, love.

All of these four levels are profoundly creative, whether we are aware of it or not, whether we believe it or not. In order to create lasting profound change in any area of our personal lives or our societies, we must work not just on one or two of these levels, but on all four.

We as human beings have a special place in existence because we embody all four of these realms and are able to move through them and work with them at will. Because of this, when attuned and harmonized appropriately, we are truly awesome in our scope. Individually and collectively we are ready to come to a fuller understanding of our intrinsic nature and use this awareness to create harmonious conditions serving the highest good.

Following is a meditative process anyone can use to tap into the source presence within in order to affect positive change in oneself, in others, in situations and in the world. It engages all of the four levels of reality mentioned above, the physical, mental, emotional and energetic or spiritual. It is not a Pollyanna approach. It is unfathomably broad in its scope and power because it guides to a union of chaos and harmony, the temporal and the eternal, the limited and the limitless, human and divine, and because it is only the higher of these states that exist within the realm of the divine, in all assiduous practice of their juxtaposition, the higher ones must and do prevail. This union, even though it may appear unrealistic to the materialistically focused mind, is nevertheless the most natural, easy, comfortable undertaking that anyone can do. However, please note that I am not setting out to prove anything to anyone. It is not my purpose. I present this as an offering. It is my desire that you will consider it, play with it, and prove its value to yourself. If you are not so inclined, then please let it go, and carry on as you have.

The Process

Make yourself physically comfortable……… and relax. Become aware of your breathing. As you breathe in, simply notice that you are breathing in. As you breathe out, notice that you are breathing out. And so on. And so on.

Visualize a circle. Let this circle, the circumference of this circle represent your life. It represents all of your experiences, relationships, situations, conditions and issues; all the vicissitudes This is the world of form, appearance, activity, duality.

Now, visualize a center.

This center is the core of your being.

This center is you as pure awareness, pure intelligence. It is you as peace, love, light, wisdom and much more. This part of you is your deep, wise eternal essence.

In your mind, draw a radius now between a point on the circumference where you image yourself to be now as a human being, and the center of the circle, and walk down this radius into the center. As you do that your temporal and your eternal self unite and become one.

Place your awareness now on the area just below your navel, about 2 “ below. This is the Hara point, or the energetic center of the body. As you put your attention there, notice that your breath will automatically and effortlessly descend to that place. Keeping your mental focus on that point will result in a new breathing pattern being established, a pattern characterized by deep, slow, easy and regular breaths. The establishment of this breathing pattern will be your indicator that you have come to your center. And so is the experience of peacefulness. If you do not become readily peaceful you can enter that state by mentally saying to yourself: “Peace, be still. I choose peace now.” Repeat several times, and you will be there, anchored in your peaceful center.

To begin with, it is best not to enter this inner space with any kind of busy-ness or agenda. The highest use we can make of it is simply to sit there and allow all of yourself to be infused and suffused with the energy and attributes of the center. Let your human self become expanded and illumined by it. This is the beginning of moving toward your highest potential. It requires that we simply sit at the center, in a relaxed state, in total silence, and breathe. That is all. And that is enough…………. And yet…. we can go further with this process, and if we choose to do that, here is one way.

Imagine that the circle in question is like a face of a clock, and the longer arm of the clock is a radius you drew before to connect a point on the circumference with the center. It is helpful to think that every aspect of your life, every sphere of activity, every person, relationship, challenge or problem can be represented by a point on the circumference, or better yet, a small circle resting on the circumference. Once you are well anchored and established in your center bring to mind any issue that is currently a challenge to you. Mentally draw a circle around it and place it on the circumference of your main circle. Place a portion of your awareness on the issue at hand without allowing it to take you out of you centered, peaceful state. You will have a physical sensation arising from you mental contact with the issue, or you may have a perception of it that is experienced as an emotion, a visual image, a sound, a taste, a smell, or a combination of these. Allow your response to this issue to arise spontaneously as it surely will and accept it. Accept it fully and unequivocally. Accept it without trying to change it, fight it, resist it. Accept it without argument, without attempting to reason with it. Accept it, and with most of your presence fully anchored in the center, breathe. Breathe easily, deeply, effortlessly into the Hara point. As you do that you will find that any issue brought into this set up will be transformed. However erratic, unsettling or chaotic the prevailing energy of the issue, it will shift. The felt sense you experienced in response to the issue will shift as you allow yourself to be present and open to both your center and the issue. Your felt sense is your barometer. As it mutates, as it surely will in the presence of the atmosphere of your center, know that a corresponding change has been affected in the energetic nature of the issue.

Energetic frequency vibration is a precursor to everything. Every thing , every occurrence and manifestation is an outpicturing of a frequency signature. This underlying vibratory rate can be changed. It can be changed consciously and deliberately, but only from the vantage point of our center. When we are under the sway of our human personality and its mindset, we are powerless to change it. When we perceive the prevailing vibratory rate of a given issue and we allow it to become our own dominant frequency in response to the issue, we cannot shift it. We can battle with it all we want, but we cannot shift it by even one iota. In fact, our full resonance with its prevailing frequency will only strengthen the status quo. Simply stated, our opposition to the issue, our hate of it, our resentment of it do not weaken it or eliminate it; to the contrary, they add strength to it and make it bigger.

It is only from the center of our being, that we can shift frequencies away from discordancy and non-coherence toward greater coherence and harmony. Energetic coherence and harmony are conducive to life, order and well-being; discordant and non-coherent energies lead to the dissolution of parameters that organize energy and to destruction. Love, a state characterized by a high vibratory rate, is intrinsically a powerful organizer of coherent energy and ensures that what is for the highest good be done.

As regards our endeavours to shift energies that relate to important societal, economic, political and even global issues, it is helpful to bear in mind that all situations and states currently in place exist because of corresponding vibrational signatures and underlie them and sustain them. These powerful creative patterns of energy, built collectively by humanity over a long period of time stem from the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual dimensions of life may be dense and hardened and seem impossible to alter. Many of these patterns have played out in destructive ways over hundreds and thousands of years. They may seem truly indomitable, and yet, at their core, they are still only energy, ever fluid and fluctuating. With persistent application of desire, intention, will and focus, and from the center of being, they too can be shifted toward higher expressions of life.

What is KEY in this work of transforming energies is always finding a feeling place within oneself that corresponds to the prevailing current frequency of the issue at hand, and sitting ‘at the center’ with that feeling until a pronounced change toward greater harmony is sensed. Then, we stay with the new feeling until the process feels complete. The second KEY element is a concurrent experience of regular, deep, slow, peaceful breaths which flow between the center and the issue, serving as a sort of engine that propels the coherent frequencies of the center into the discordant energy field of the problem and modifies it.

The longer the time period over which such activity takes place, the greater the number of individual involved, the greater the transformative scope of the coherent energies. The effects are cumulative. Success is assured.

For emphasis, I wish to stress once more that complete personal distancing and disassociation with the frequencies of the problem will not be a helpful approach in this work. To be effective, we must first find the discordant energy signature of the problem within our own being and cause its shifting within us as we rest in the atmosphere of the center. That is our key to unlocking the energy pattern that feeds the problem. As you notice a positive change in the feeling sensation within, know with certainty that a corresponding change was created in the energetic blueprint of the problem, out of which it had arisen.

Bear in mind that you may need to apply yourself repeatedly to this work to entirely dissolve the root of the problem, but it is nevertheless the most elegant, effective and painless way to create profound change. The way that this transformative process has been carried out up to now was to allow the discordant energies to build in intensity to the point where they manifested outwardly as discordant, destructive events such as acts of violence, wars, economic disasters and other similar events. Through the resultant intense suffering of the people, the negative emotional energetic charge would be somewhat spent and a period of peace and reconstruction would ensue. The state of permanent harmony could not be achieved however as people carried within their consciousness, seeds of perpetual imbalance, in the form of erroneous beliefs and perceptions.

All of these misunderstandings and faulty premises so widely held on Earth must now be corrected.

For further clarification on the above as well as on many other issues pertaining to growth and transformation, I suggest you begin developing a habit of cultivating deep core peace as well as a habit of asking yourSelf questions of importance persistently, then writing down the answers. Thus you will begin tapping into the awesome resource that is within you, the IS you. That is truly the greatest gift anyone can give themselves.
